The church can not be contained by four walls. It is not simply a group, nor a building, nor a religion. The church is a community. We started Anchor in order to answer the questions that are seldom asked in the church. With over 2 million people in the Houston area, there seem to be more and more questions each day. We allow people to come in, exactly as they are, with out any expectations on them. We have spent the last two years in clubs, bars, on the street, and wherever we happen to be letting people know that it's ok to have questions. It's ok to not know everything about God. It's ok to wonder why Christians don't often act like Christ. While that may be ok, we hope that you will leave finding answers, finding hope in life and in people, and finding the love that God desperately wants you to know.

I'm not scared to tell you that helping people takes money. It takes people, then it takes money. With the donations and giving towards Anchor we have fed families, clothed those without clothes, kept the lights on in houses, fixed cars, and much more.
